What is Expanded foam PVC?

Expanded foam PVC, also known as expanded polyvinyl chloride, is a lightweight and versatile plastic material commonly used in various applications. It is created by expanding and foaming PVC sheets, resulting in a cellular structure with a high strength-to-weight ratio.

What are the benefits of PVC?

Expanded foam PVC offers several beneficial properties that make it suitable for a wide range of uses. Firstly, it is lightweight, which makes it easy to handle and install. Despite its lightweight nature, it retains a remarkable level of strength and durability, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Another advantage of expanded foam PVC is its resistance to moisture and chemicals. This characteristic makes it highly suitable for applications where exposure to water or corrosive substances is expected. It is also non-porous, which means it does not absorb water or other liquids, making it resistant to rot, mold, and mildew.

What is your return Policy?

All of items are made to order and Made-to-order items are uniquely created or customized according to the customer's specific requirements. Due to their personalized nature, these items often cannot be returned because they are tailored exclusively to the customer and may lack universal market appeal. Additionally, the production costs, limited demand, and the risk of damage make it impractical for manufacturers to accept returns on made-to-order items. Therefore, it is important for customers to carefully consider their choices before purchasing such items.

Do PVC shutter require painting?

PVC shutters do not require painting because their color is incorporated throughout the material during manufacturing. The PVC used in these shutters is UV-stable, meaning it won't fade or degrade from sun exposure. Additionally, PVC is resistant to moisture, durable, and low maintenance, eliminating the need for repainting. This makes PVC shutters a convenient and long-lasting choice for window treatments.

How Do I paint PVC Shutters if I choose to add color?

Painting Instructions:

To ensure a professional finish when painting your shutters, please follow these instructions:

  1. Prior to painting, clean the surface with denatured alcohol to remove any dirt, oil, grease, or other contaminants. The surface should be clean, dry, and free from foreign particles.

  2. Avoid painting dark colors in areas exposed to direct sunlight. This will help prevent excessive heat absorption and potential issues with the finish.

  3. For best results, use acrylic or urethane-based latex exterior paints. Well-known brands such as Sherwin Williams, Behr, and Gliden are suitable options.

  4. Always choose paints with a Light Reflective Value (LRV) of 55 or higher.

  5. If you plan to paint in a darker color (LRV of 54 or lower), it is crucial to use Vinyl safe paint or paints specifically designed for such applications. (Please refer to your paint manufacturer)

  6. Latex paints may take 2-4 days to dry completely. Avoid exposing the shutters to dew, high humidity, moisture, or rain during this time.

  7. For the best finish results, using a sprayer is recommended. However, if a sprayer is not available or feasible, you can apply the paint using a brush or roller directly.

By following these instructions and using high-quality paints, you can achieve a professional and long-lasting finish on your shutters.
