Installation
Installation:
To ensure a professional and secure installation of your shutters, please follow these steps:
-
Begin by determining the precise position for the shutter. Align the top and bottom of the shutter with the corresponding parts of the window and mark its placement accordingly.
-
Once you have determined the desired position, mark the shutter itself at the locations where it will be fastened to the installation surface. Use a drill to create marks on the facade at the top, middle, and bottom of the shutter.
-
Carefully remove the shutter and proceed to pre-drill pilot holes through the facade at the marked locations. It is recommended to apply a clear, waterproof, and paintable sealant to each pre-drilled hole to ensure a secure and weather-resistant installation.
-
Fasten the shutter in place using non-corrosive exterior-grade screws. Be cautious not to over-tighten the screws, as this may cause damage or compromise the integrity of the installation.
***IMPORTANT: When installing the shutters on lap siding, it is crucial to adhere them to the highest point of the siding or utilize shims/spacers to fill any gaps and ensure a level installation.
